The Birth of Jesus Christ
Dear Grace Family Church, beloved brothers and sisters in Christ!
I want to warmly wish you a happy celebration of the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ. In these special days, our hearts are filled with joy, gratitude, and bright hope. The entire world speaks about Christmas: everywhere are lights, decorations, gifts, festive commotion, and anticipation. But amidst this array of all sorts, it is especially important not to lose sight of the main thing—the meaning of the event we are celebrating.
May this Christmas become a time of renewal for our faith, strengthening of our hope, and deepening of our love for God and for one another. May sinners find the path of repentance on this day, and may the saved find renewed worship. And may the name of Jesus Christ be exalted in our church, in our families, and in our lives.
- Christmas is not just a beautiful tradition, nor is it only a family celebration. First and foremost, it is an event that forever changed the course of human history. The Word of God tells us that when the fullness of time had come, God revealed to the world His greatest mercy — He Himself came to us, becoming human in order to save us from sin. During this Christmas season, we see not a distant God, but a Savior and Emmanuel — God with us. The One who entered our reality to reconcile humanity with God and to give us eternal hope. Dear friends, let none of us forget that the Son of God became the Son of Man, so that the sons of men might become sons of God.
- The Gospel of Matthew, in its second chapter, tells of the events that took place at the time of Christ’s birth. People responded to the birth of Jesus Christ in different ways. Some were afraid, like Herod, seeing a threat to his position. Others remained indifferent—knowing the Scriptures, yet taking no step toward the Savior. And only the wise men sought Christ, worshiped Him, and brought Him gifts. These responses are still alive today, because Christmas continues to call for a response from every heart. Dear brothers and sisters, the desire of my heart is that our attitude toward the birth of our Lord would not become shallow or routine. May this celebration not be merely an outward festivity, but a deep reminder of God’s love revealed to us in Christ. Christ was born not to take a place in culture or tradition, but to become the King of our hearts, our High Priest, and our only Savior.
- It is very important to remember that today Jesus is no longer a Baby in a manger—He is the risen Lord, the Almighty, and the coming King. And the most precious gift we can bring to Him in these days is far greater than any store-bought present or handmade gift. A thankful heart, sincere obedience, and service to others for Christ’s sake—these are the best Christmas gifts. When we serve those in need, show mercy, love, and care, we are serving Christ Himself.
May this Christmas become a time of renewal for our faith, strengthening of our hope, and deepening of our love for God and for one another. May sinners find the path of repentance on this day, and may the saved find renewed worship. And may the name of Jesus Christ be exalted in our church, in our families, and in our lives.

Scripture to Memorize
"And the angel said to them, “Fear not, for behold, I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. And this will be a sign for you: you will find a baby wrapped in swaddling cloths and lying in a manger.” And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying, “Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace among those with whom he is pleased!”"
