GFC Women’s Retreat 2026

Last weekend, by God’s mercy, the women’s retreat “Heart to Heart” took place — a special and blessed time for the sisters, filled with spiritual encouragement, warm fellowship, and rest in God’s presence.

The Lord gave us the opportunity to spend these days in an amazingly beautiful place, where nature itself proclaimed the greatness of the Creator. Surrounded by magnificent scenery, we once again marveled at the beauty of God’s creation, paused from the usual busyness of life, and directed our hearts toward Him.

A special blessing was the teaching from our pastors, filled with wisdom, the truth of God’s Word, and practical instruction for daily life. After each message, the sisters gathered in small groups to reflect together on what they had heard, share thoughts, ask questions, and gain a deeper understanding of God’s truths.

But the retreat was filled with more than just group meetings — it was a precious time of personal fellowship from heart to heart. The sisters prayed for one another, shared their burdens, supported and encouraged each other, and simply were there for one another. For many, this became a time of new friendships, strengthened relationships, and special spiritual renewal.

During shared meals, unhurried conversations, walks, and quiet moments, each woman could feel this special atmosphere of peace, acceptance, and God’s love. Delicious meals lovingly prepared, warm fellowship, and the joy of spending time together made these days even more cozy and unforgettable.

This retreat became a beautiful reminder of how important it is to pause from time to time, step away from the busyness of everyday life, renew our strength in the Lord, go deeper into the reading of His Word, hear His voice, and simply spend time in fellowship with sisters in the faith.

We are thankful to the Lord for this precious time, for every sister who was part of this retreat, and for everyone who labored and served.

May the truths of God that were sown bear good fruit in hearts and continue to bring blessing into the life of every sister.

Scripture To Memorize

"So you also must consider yourselves dead to sin and alive to God in Christ Jesus.
Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, to make you obey its passions.
Do not present your members to sin as instruments for unrighteousness, but present yourselves to God as those who have been brought from death to life, and your members to God as instruments for righteousness.
For sin will have no dominion over you, since you are not under law but under grace.
What then? Are we to sin because we are not under law but under grace? By no means!
Do you not know that if you present yourselves to anyone as obedient slaves, you are slaves of the one whom you obey, either of sin, which leads to death, or of obedience, which leads to righteousness?
But thanks be to God, that you who were once slaves of sin have become obedient from the heart to the standard of teaching to which you were committed,
and, having been set free from sin, have become slaves of righteousness.
I am speaking in human terms, because of your natural limitations. For just as you once presented your members as slaves to impurity and to lawlessness leading to more lawlessness, so now present your members as slaves to righteousness leading to sanctification.
For when you were slaves of sin, you were free in regard to righteousness.
But what fruit were you getting at that time from the things of which you are now ashamed? For the end of those things is death."
Romans 6:11-21
