GKBS Lesson Overview

November 5, 2026
"Jesus’ Parables"
Key Text: Matthew 13:1–52; 18:21–35; 20:1–16; 21:28–44; 22:1–14; 25:1–46; Luke 1:1–32; 6:46–49; 7:36–50; 10:25–37; 11:5–13; 13:13–30; 16:1–9; 16:19–31; 18:1–14
Central Truth: Citizenship in God’s kingdom requires a heartfelt response.
Spotlight on the Gospel: Jesus told parables so that many would hear the gospel, yet only those with genuine faith would bear lasting fruit. The lost sheep, coin, and prodigal son all picture sinners far from God that the Lord seeks. Jesus, the Good Shepherd, came to seek and save you. Repent, believe in Him, and come home today to eternal joy.
Ask Your Child: In the parable of the sower, what does each soil represent?
