"Jesus and His Enemies"

Central Truth: Jesus confronted the religious hypocrisy of the Pharisees.
Spotlight on the Gospel: The Pharisees trusted their outward religion and traditions, but their hearts were hard toward God’s true mercy and the Messiah. Jesus exposed their hypocrisy to reveal that no one can earn salvation by rules or appearances. He lived the perfect life we could not, died for our sins, and rose again. Turn from self-righteousness today and trust in Him alone for forgiveness.
Ask Your Child: Why were the Pharisees upset with Jesus when He healed people on
the Sabbath?
