"The Transfiguration"
Transition: In Lesson 9, Jesus used parables to reveal truths about the kingdom, salvation, and judgment, while calling hearers to genuine faith. Lesson 11 shifts to the Gospel writers gathering testimonies from angels, magi, disciples, Samaritans, Martha, Peter, God the Father, and even a Roman centurion who unmistakably declared Jesus’ identity.
Key Text: Matthew 2:1–2; 9:27; 16:1–17; 17:1–8; 18:35–39; Mark 9:2–13; Luke 2:10–14; 9:28–36; John 1:29–34, 43–51; 4:19–30; 7:25–27, 40–49; 11:27
Central Truth: Believers recognize Jesus Christ as the Son of God.
Spotlight on the Gospel: From His birth to His death, witnesses proclaimed Jesus as King, Lord, the Lamb of God, the Savior, and the Son of God. Peter’s confession captures the truth: He is the Christ. Only by trusting in Him, who died for our sins and rose again, can we be forgiven and receive eternal life. Believe in Jesus today as your Savior and Lord!
